Welcome to My Path of Self Discovery

We've all seen it before (on movies, or in novels): a teenager facing conflict, role confusion, rebellion, eventually overcoming the conflict and reaching enlightenment....self discovery. My code name is Susanne Dey I wish to blog semi- anonymous, those of you who know me try not to blow my cover mmmm? Those of you who don't know me well it's a pleasure to finally meet you (hehehehe). This blog will consist of daily entries of whatever is in my head, on my heart, or in my fist. I'm a freelance photographer and will include a photo per day. I will not fully explain who I am or what I am born to just yet (not in this post at least) that explanation will come out on it's own little by little. I am looking forward to blogging my daily activities, even if it's just for my eyes, but for those of you reading: welcome to my path to self enlightenment.

#7 cheek piercing diary infection gone!

The infection I had is now 98% gone. I have also noticed that these piercings are the sensitive type in which you have days where they're bad and a week where they co-operate with you- I call it the honeymoon period. I have also noticed that when you do get them pierced you feel as if your mouth is heavy even after the swelling goes down and when you open your mouth you can see bumps along your cheek's walls. The feeling of heaviness and the bumps leave after some time. you also have to learn to talk, smile and laugh all over again, it's been close to three months for me and I still stutter at times.

Keep you posted,

Susanne Dey

  2. hey :D I cannot begin to count how many times I had an infection! I've had these piercing for a year now and they still get infected. :s At first you feel nervous and scared but after you get used to treating your infection they become a breeze. I haven't been to see the doctor so far :D keep in mind these piercings do get irratated when you first get them due to the fact that your skin is not used to them yet. keep rinsing with listerene sea salt and maybe use some polysporine if it starts to smell and ooze out green lymph.(I have the pic of it in my previous entry) when u first get the piercing, when the bioplast gets cut closer towards your face the piercing will kind of dig into your skin just a bit to make a "bed" (a little snug spot for the ball)take a trip to your piercer :) have you had any problems with it so far and what are the symptoms? do you have bioplast ? these peircings are the cutest things1 they are deff worth fighting for just treat them with patience

  3. Hi Susanne. I just got my cheeks pierced and noticed some green lymph coming out. Nervous that an infection is starting. What have you used in the past to get rid of the infection. All information helps. Thank you!

  5. I recently pierced my cheeks and I had a large boil form around my right piercing. DON'T DRAIN IT. It will eventually drain itself and popping it only caused more irritation/pain/super unattractive pussing/unbearable swelling. I follow the same routine as Susanne as far as cleaning them goes. Warm salt soaks have been my best friend. And yes, these piercings are a royal pain in my ass but I'm gonna stick it out.

  7. I have had mine since March and i repeatedly get bumps up around them. Then you can see points where there is pus trying to come out. I would sterilize pop n drain it... i see maybe that is the wrong choice. I've noticed that it's left blood colored spots at the drain marks that won't ever go away. I really don't want to take them out, i just haven't known what to do. The only piercer we have here for this is a total ass n when i first had the infection i went to him and he said he has no fn idea hes no gd doctor, so I've been just trying my best. What exactly do you recommend to help me best.

I'm not sure if mine are infected but the like a hard boil (I guess you can call it) but it's also red around it and it's like draining pus like stuff out of it, I'm keep them clean the best I can. My piercer said everything ok they are just healing but it still scares me never have my piercing do that when I got them done. I had my cheek piercing about 1 week almost going on 2 weeks
